On September 14-16 this year in Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan, the World Bank experts organized a seminar on the topic “Modernization of the household survey and poverty monitoring”.

The seminar was also attended by experts from Uzbekistan. From the State Committee on Statistics, the head of the department for coordinating sample surveys of households Karshiboev Bakhodir Kurbonbayevich took part.

Representatives of Nazar Business and Technology also took part in the event from our country.

Separately, the seminar touched upon the issues of sample surveys of households conducted by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, as well as expressed views on the mutual exchange of experience.


Within 3 days, representatives of our country provided specialists of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with a broad understanding of how to fill out household surveys on an electronic device (tablet), send them to an electronic database and, using the KOBO program, collect a database, connect the collected database to the STATA program and form another necessary data table.
