At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1, 2020, the issue of human resources was raised and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists in the statistical system.
In order to ensure the fulfillment of these tasks, the State Committee on Statistics carries out activities of practical importance.
On October 18 this year, an event was held dedicated to the signing of a memorandum between the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent Financial Institute, as well as the opening of the Scientific and Practical Statistics Laboratory.
The event was attended by the head of the State Committee on Statistics and the heads of the departments of the central office, the deputy director of the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research, the rector of the Tashkent Financial Institute, faculty, students and media workers.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich and the rector of the Tashkent Financial Institute Teshabaev Tulkin Zakirovich.
At the meeting, a memorandum was signed, prepared jointly with the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent Financial Institute, designed for the further implementation of bilateral cooperation.
The event also hosted the opening ceremony of the joint “Scientific and Practical Laboratory of Statistics”. The speakers exchanged views on the role of statistical indicators in the economic and social life of the country, as well as on the ongoing work to further strengthen the mutual integration of state organizations in the higher education system.
The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that the main goal of creating this “Scientific and Practical Laboratory of Statistics” is to increase the scientific potential of personnel in the field of statistics. The creation of such scientific and practical opportunities for students in the future will lay the foundation for training potential personnel for statistical departments and expanding the number of research scientists who have made a worthy contribution to the development of our country.
The main objectives of this laboratory are:
- establishing innovative corporate cooperation based on the implementation of innovative cooperation between education, science and production;
– training and advanced training of personnel in the field of statistics;
- introduction of modern achievements of science in the sectors of the economy on the basis of priority areas for the development of science, fundamental and applied research;
- ensuring the mutual integration of academic science with higher education and production through the gradual organization of research and educational and scientific centers, creating the necessary conditions for the realization of the creative and intellectual potential of young people;
– implementation of comprehensive measures to support young scientists and innovative cooperation between higher education, science and industry;
- creation of joint projects to study the trends in the development of the economy and implement their results in the practice of national economic reforms on an innovative basis;
- creation of a bank of topical and problematic topics for further development of the activities of the State Committee on Statistics in the future, as well as joint research on these topics;
– preparation and publication of scientific papers on topical issues, organization of seminars and conferences;
- effective organization of internships and qualification practices for teaching staff, senior research fellows-applicants, undergraduate and graduate students at TSUE;
– involvement of leading employees of the State Committee on Statistics in the educational process.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached between the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent Financial Institute to continue cooperation, as well as improve the skills of personnel in the field of statistics.
