On February 21 this year, a meeting was organized at the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the mission of Mr. George Kvinikadze, regional statistician of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in order to study the situation regarding the prospects for the implementation of the following SDG indicators.
From the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the meeting was chaired by the Deputy Director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Agzam Ikramov.
Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics, the Department of Social Sphere and Sustainable Development Statistics, the Department of Living Standards Statistics and Population Surveys and the Department of Industrial Statistics also participated in the meeting on behalf of the Agency of Statistics.
During this meeting, the SDG indicators were discussed, as well as methods and ways of generating statistical data on these indicators.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
