On March 3 this year, together with the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent Financial Institute, a round table was organized.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Agency, the faculty of the Tashkent Financial Institute, as well as researchers and students.
During the round table, the participants were provided with detailed information about the essence and significance of the new law "On Official Statistics", changes and concepts introduced by the law into practice.
The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Official Statistics" not only regulates the functioning of the national statistical system, but also ensures the effectiveness of reforms to ensure the openness and transparency of official statistics, meet the needs of users in reliable, high-quality and up-to-date official statistics, and will undoubtedly serve to further increase the prestige of the country on international level.
The Agency of Statistics organizes its activities on the basis of the Law "On Official Statistics" and the statistical programs developed in accordance with it. The conduct of statistical observations, the formation and dissemination of statistical data in the field of official statistics, is developed annually, taking into account the needs of national and foreign users in statistical data.
At the end of the event, the faculty and researchers of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics of the Tashkent Financial Institute received comprehensive answers from the agency's specialists to all their questions.
The book "Prospect of the State Statistics Committee" and statistical collections about the activities of the agency were presented.
As a result of the round table, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and regularly hold such meetings.
