The head of the Department of Price Statistics of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Umarov, the head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts A. Mamadzhanov, the head of the Department of Statistics of Living Standards and Population Surveys U. Madaminov, the Deputy Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts U .Obidov, Head of the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Achilov and employees of the Central Bank.

Umarov, Head of the Price Statistics Department of the Agency for Statistics, opened the round table with his presentation on the topic “Consumer Price Index in the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The presentation provided information on the work carried out in the system in recent years to improve the calculation of the consumer price index, the methodology used, and the work to introduce digital technologies into processes. The presentation provided detailed answers to the questions asked by the participants.

Also, at the round table, the head of the Department of Statistics of Living Standards and Population Surveys of the Agency for Statistics U. Madaminov gave detailed information on the practice of conducting sample observations of households and the methodology for calculating the total income of the population.

During the round table, the head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts A. Mamadjanov provided detailed information on the methods of formation of the gross domestic product, the calculation of the deflator index of the gross domestic product, the calculation of gross domestic product by net quarters, the formation of statistical data on investments, methodology, practice of formation gross value added in small business and private entrepreneurship, as well as the timing of the formation of indicators.

The participants of the event also exchanged views on the issues of further improvement of the methodology and practice of forming statistical indicators.
