On March 30 this year, a promotional event dedicated to updating the Constitution of New Uzbekistan was held at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by employees of the central office of the Agency.

Opening the event, Ziyaev Zakhidjon Muratovich, Deputy Director of the Statistics Agency, dwelled on the new norms that are being put on our agenda, including changes in the education system, housing rights of citizens, and forms of private property.

Opinions were also expressed on the active participation of citizens in the referendum, a political event to be held in our country on April 30 this year.

As noted at the event, our new Constitution will increase from 128 to 155 articles, and the number of norms will increase from 275 to 434. It is expected that 27 new articles will be added on this basis.

In the new Constitution, the norms relating to human rights are increased by 3 times, and the norms relating to the preservation of the health of the population - by 4 times. On the basis of these changes, an independent Uzbekistan is determined - a social, legal state.

In this updated Constitution, the legal protection of human rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, as well as forms of private property, will be fully formed on the basis of advanced world experience.
