At the end of 2022, the gross regional product (GRP) of the Surkhandarya region increased by 4.0%. In the structure of GRP, the growth rates of agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounted to 2.6%, industry - 4.4%, construction - 2.0%, services - 6.3% and net taxes on products - 4.3%.
