On July 21 this year, the head of the Department of Living Standards Statistics and Population Survey, Umid Madaminov, made a presentation on the results of the participation organized by the Oxford Center for Poverty Reduction and Human Development on the topic “Multidimensional measurement of poverty”, July 4-14 this year in the city of Bogotá (Colombia).
During the presentation, U. Madaminov introduced the participants to his experience in determining the multidimensional poverty indicator, as well as the definition of the multidimensional poverty index using the Alkire-Foster methodology, the calculation and analysis of the national and global multidimensional poverty index (MPI) using empirical examples.
During the seminar, an active discussion took place on the above topics, recommendations were made on the implementation of the multidimensional poverty indicator in practice.
