On July 27 this year, employees of the Statistics agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a presentation on the results of participation in the regional seminar on the topic “Monthly Indicator of Economic Growth”, organized by the Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia of the International Monetary Fund in Almaty (Kazakhstan).
Participants of the regional seminar - the Deputy head of Department of Industry Statistics, the head of Division for Complex Statistical Observations of Industrial Production Karimov Ulugbek, the head of Division of Comprehencive Statistical Observations of Services, Transport and Information infrostructure Rakhimov Alisher and the deputy head of the Division of Formation and Analysis of Macroeconomic Indicators Mamatmuradov Khusniddin shared their knowledge and skills in the presentation, as well as the final conclusions with the agency staff.
The participants of the presentation were familiarized with the formation of monthly indicator of economic growth, their consistensy with Quarterly national accounts, the use of benchmarking methods in calculations, the data revision policy, the procedure for publishing data and experience of developed countries.
Also during the presentation, information was provided on the current state of formation of monthly indicators of economic growth in the countries of the region and answers were given to participants' questions.
