As of July 1, 2023, in all categories of farms in the Samarkand region, the total number of cattle was 1,619.3 thousand heads (102.2 % compared to July 1, 2022), of which cows - 690.4 thousand heads (102.6 %), sheep and goats - 2,483.0 thousand heads (102.6 %), horses - 27.5 thousand heads (103.3 %) and birds - 11,925.9 thousand heads ( 106.3 %).
