The Gender Data Index measures the availability and openness of gender data worldwide. The index is based on the presence of 11 indicators in 35 statistical categories.
In our country, statistical agencies are carrying out a number of works on the maintenance of gender statistics.
In particular, the Statistics Agency has created a separate department for the collection, processing and analysis of gender statistics.
The official website of the committee has been developed and put into practice gender.stat.uz.
In addition, on the Agency's websites stat.uz, nsdg.stat.uz, aholi.stat.uz, statistical portal siat.stat.uz, and also, on the open data portal data.egov.uz publishes data on gender statistics.
Аll sections of the gender.stat.uz site currently contain more than 180 indicators related to gender statistics in 3 languages, in 5 different formats.
Every year, additional indicators are included in statistical reporting forms, and the number of indicators on the official website increases.
Seminars are organized jointly with international organizations and representatives of other countries in order to improve the skills of system employees and exchange experience.
Also on the official website of the Agency gender.stat.uz A separate page has been opened on a set of 52 minimum gender indicators recommended by the UN Statistical Commission.
In cooperation with the responsible ministries and departments, 54 minimum gender indicators have been fully formulated, posted on the website and regularly updated.
In accordance with the recommendation of the UN Statistical Commission, which includes 54 indicators in 5 directions, more than 130 other indicators in 8 directions are formed and published on the website.
Information on monitoring 61 targets of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 is posted on a separate page of the website.
Also on the main page of the indicators of the official website there are additional indicators of gender statistics, formed on the basis of 27 types of statistical observations provided by more than 550 thousand enterprises and organizations, and the content is regularly expanded.
