On October 19 of this year, at the Tashkent Financial Institute, within the framework of the international innovation week “INNO-WEEK-2023”, the Department of Statistics and Econometrics organized the International Scientific and Practical Conference “National Strategy for the Development of the Statistical System: Theory and Practice”.
This conference was attended by representatives of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Advanced Studies and Statistical Research, the Institute of Macroeconomic and Territorial Studies, Tashkent State University of Economics, Yonsei University in South Korea, Pierre Mendes University in France, as well as representatives of the Tashkent branch of the Russian Economic Plekhanov University, and a number of international and local specialists.
During this conference, feedback was expressed on improving the methodology for calculating macroeconomic indicators based on international templates of the system of national accounts in the development of the statistical system.
In particular, Deputy Director of the Agency of Statistics Ziyaev Zohidzhan Muratovich spoke and expressed his opinion on the analysis of socio-economic processes in industries and sectors of the economy on the basis of modern statistical methods in the national strategy for the development of the statistical system.
Also, the director of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Statistical Research, Gaibnazarov Bahadir Karimovich, gave detailed information on the issues of econometric modeling and forecasting the dependence of statistical indicators that ensure sustainable economic development.
At the event, information was presented on improving the rating assessment of socio-economic development of regions based on statistical indicators and the results of surveys of specialists.
