As of January-September 2023, in the Surkhandarya region, 81.3% of households have children under 16 years of age.
Of them:
- households with one child – 19.5%;
- households with two children – 24.2%;
- households with three children – 23.5%;
- households with four or more children – 14.1%.
According to the survey, 18.7% of households do not have children under the age of 16.
