On October 30 of this year, the Statistics Agency hosted a presentation on the results of the seminar, which was held on October 24-26 of this year in Istanbul (Turkey) on the topic “High-level regional seminar on measuring multidimensional poverty” with the participation of experts from various governments, statistical departments and international organizations Europe and Central Asia.
The deputy head of the Department of Living Standards Statistics and Population Survey, Rakhmatjon Urazbayev, made a report at the seminar.
During the presentation, participants learned about ways to determine the multidimensional poverty index using the Alkire-Foster methodology, the national and global multidimensional poverty index (MPI), and became familiar with working methods such as calculation and analysis based on empirical examples.

At the end of the seminar, an active discussion took place on the above topics, and questions from participants were answered in detail.
