On November 1 of this year, a presentation was held at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of the trip on October 23-27, 2023 to Moscow (Russian Federation) to participate in the advanced training program “Population and development”, organized by the National Research University “Higher School” Economics" (Higher School of Economics) with the support of the United Nations Population Fund for government officials and scientists of the CIS countries.
The presentation was presented by Aliya Tairova, Deputy Head of the Department for Forming Indicators of the Balance of Labor Resources, Employment and Remuneration of Labor, the Department of Demography and Labor Statistics of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the presentation, information was provided based on the experience gained on the following topics: demographic transition; sustainable development goals; problems of mortality and public health; trends in fertility and family formation; migration and development; demographic changes and labor market; demographic aging and active longevity; gender inequality and development.
At the end of the presentation, questions of interest from the participants were answered and an active discussion took place.
