On November 2 of this year, a presentation was made on the results of participation in the regional seminar of an employee of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organized by the Regional Capacity Development Center of the International Monetary Fund for the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia on the topic “Supply and Use Tables” in Almaty, Kazakhstan.


Leading specialist of the Department for Coordination of Statistical Assessment of the Shadow Economy of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts Bakirov Bunyodbek, who took part in this regional seminar, introduced the participants to the knowledge gained at the seminar, concepts and definitions for compiling tables of resources and use.


The presentation participants were familiarized with the basics of the formation of “Supply and Use Tables” and “Input-Output Tables”, their relationship with national accounts, the use of these tables in calculations, as well as the experience of developed countries.


Also during the presentation, the current state of the formation of “Supply and Use Tables” and “Input-Output Tables” in the countries of the region was discussed and detailed answers to questions from participants were given.
