On November 8 of this year, a meeting was held at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the expert mission of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

This event was attended by employees of the central office of the agency, headed by the director of the Statistics Agency, Begalov Bagodir Abdusalomovich, and ESCAP experts - Richard Tonkin, Ayodele Marshall and Eric Diben.

At the meeting, Director of the Statistics Agency Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich exchanged with ESCAP experts on development issues.

It should be noted that this meeting was organized within the framework of the project “Strengthening the capacity of national statistical offices in the Asia-Pacific region to use new, innovative and large-scale data sources.”

Also during the event, information was presented on the improvement of existing sources of statistical data within the project, price statistics, processes of collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of data infrastructure.

National goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development, as well as issues of cooperation in the field of statistics were also discussed at the meeting.
