On November 23 of this year, the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a presentation dedicated to the 9th conference on statistics of international labor migration in the Asia-Pacific region, from November 14 to 16, 2023, organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Korean Statistical Office (COSTAT) ) in Daejeon.
In his presentation, Sardor Meliboev, Deputy Head of the Department for the Formation of Summary Analytical Information on Demography, Labor and Gender Statistics, shared the knowledge and experience he gained during his service.
The speaker provided participants with expert advice on international labor migration statistics, focusing on issues such as the current status and gaps, updated estimates for calculating indicators, national data requirements and methods.
During the presentation, views on the topic were exchanged, and questions from participants were answered in detail.
