On January 23 of this year, an event on the topic “Information security and combating cybercrime” was held at the Statistics Department of Navoi region.

The event was attended by representatives of the operational search service of the Navoi region Department of Internal Affairs, headed by Shahzod Nuriddinov, a specialist in the Cybersecurity department, as well as employees of the regional statistical office.

During the conversation, Sherzod Nuriddinov, a specialist in the Cybersecurity department, initially spoke in detail about measures aimed at preventing cybercrime.

Cybercrime is carried out using software and hardware in cyberspace in order to capture information, change it, destroy or disable information systems and resources.

It was also explained by examples that the scale of the cybersecurity concept today is not only the protection of information in the information technology industry, but also the latest technologies that require a high level of security, such as cyberspace, mobile payments, e-commerce and Internet banking.

At the end of the event, detailed answers to the participants' questions were given.
