On January 23-25, 2024, an online seminar is being held organized by the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center (CCAMTAC) for at the IMF on the topic: “Updated of Statistical Manuals (Balance of Payments Manual-7 and 2025 System of National Accounts)”.
More than 100 representatives of Statistical Agencies, Central Banks, Ministries of Economy and Finance and other government agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan took part in this virtual seminar.
The seminar was attended by the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts: Chief Specialist of the Department for Coordination of statistical assessment of the shadow economy Ganieva Mahbuba, Deputy Head of the Department of Accumulation Accounts and Auxiliary Accounts Yunusova Mahmuda and the Department of Investment and Construction Statistics: Head of the Department Department of Comprehensive Statistical observations on investments in non-financial assets Bahodir Jabbarov.
The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss the changes being made to the international balance of payments manual in the new edition, as well as emerging issues in the process of introducing national accounts and balance of payments into practice in the countries of the Caucasus region, Central Asia and Mongolia.
