On June 5-6, 2024, a meeting of specialists from the statistical services of the CIS countries on the "Formation of food resource balances" was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, organized as part of the implementation of the CIS Statistics development project for 2024, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of National Statistical Institutions of the CIS countries, the leadership and experts of the International Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural Statistics of the Agency Daliev Shukhrat Rustamovich, and chief specialist of the Department of Statistical Observations of agricultural subjects Gaffarov Azamat Suyunovich.
During the event, issues related to the formation of balances of the main types of food resources, problems in this area, and the results achieved by the CIS countries in improving the processes of calculating the balance of the main types of food resources were discussed.
