On June 17-18 of this year, the delegation led by the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency visited Georgia, where they got acquainted with Georgia's experience in ensuring the open activities of government agencies, the country's achievements during the period of membership in the international organization “Open Government Cooperation”, an electronic procurement platform that ensures openness and transparency of public procurement, as well as best practices in working with open data, in order to share experiences on issues such as the introduction of mechanisms to prevent corruption in the activities of government agencies, A business trip to Georgia was carried out.

The event was attended by senior officials of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the OSCE project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan and the Statistics Agency.

During the visit the following meetings were organized:

- with the Director of the Anti–Corruption Bureau of Georgia, Razden Kuprashvili;

- with representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia;

- with the Director of the National Agency of Public registry of Georgia, David Nadirashvili;

- with the participation of Deputy Director of the State Procurement Agency of Georgia, Kaha Demetrishvili.

At the end of the meeting, a ceremony was held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two departments.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of experience in the formation of state policy in the field of prevention and combating corruption, the exchange of information, regulatory documents and scientific resources, the organization of joint training courses, seminars, trainings or conferences on staff development, the organization of business trips, internships for employees.
