On July 23 of this year, a presentation was held at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of the business trip on July 8-19, 2024 to the city of Daejeon Republic of Korea to participate in the 11th Summer Seminar on Population, co-organized by UNFPA with the Institute of Statistics of the Republic of Korea (KOSTAT).
The presentation was presented by Aliya Tairova, chief specialist of the Division of Labor Statistics Indicators of the Department of Demography, Labor and Gender Statistics of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the presentation, information was given based on the experience gained on the following topics: basic concepts of fertility and mortality from a demographic perspective, measuring of fertility and mortality, ways to project fertility, life expectancy decomposition, models of mortality.
At the end of the presentation, an active discussion took place and questions of interest to the participants were answered.
