On August 23, 2024, a meeting was held between the head of UNICEF in Uzbekistan, Ms. Rehina Maria Castigio, and the director of the Statistics Agency, Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich.
During the meeting, current cooperation and plans for the implementation of the next round of Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) were discussed.
Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, Director of the Statistics Agency, congratulated Ms. Castigio on her appointment as the head of UNICEF's representative office in Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of collaboration in improving the living conditions of children in the country.
Furthermore, it was noted that the success of the MICS-6 project provided essential data for monitoring progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation on issues related to conducting the next round of CICA observation.
