On August 19-30 of this year, a training seminar on "High-frequency indicators of economic activity" was organized in Vienna, Austria.
Officials of statistical offices, Central Bank and Ministry of Economy from Austria, Albania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in this educational seminar.
From the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ulugbek Karimov, the deputy head of the Department of Industry and Energy Statistics of the Statistics Agency, Davron Kushchiev and Bahrom Arifov, chief experts of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts, participated in this training seminar.
During the seminar, the participants were able to improve their knowledge and skills with the help of lectures and practical exercises on working with monthly and quarterly dynamic series and their analysis.
Also, the presentations of the participating countries on the calculation of quarterly and annual indicators were reviewed.
Participation in such seminars helps to learn and apply world experience in calculating macroeconomic indicators, as well as to improve the quality of statistical indicators of our republic.
