On September 3-6, 2024, in Chiba, Japan, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will hold a regional training workshop on "Goals 5-16 of the Sustainable Development Goals, crime statistics from a gender perspective" is scheduled to be held.
This regional training workshop is aimed at staff in the area of crime and criminal justice statistics in the Special Administrative Regions of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and representatives of the Kyrgyz National Statistical Offices and officials related to the 5th and 16th goals of the BRM are participating.
The Deputy Head of the Department of Social Sphere and Sustainable Development Statistics of the Statistics Agency Kambarov Jahangir is participating in this event.
The main goal of the seminar is to exchange experience between the participating countries, to form an indicator of BRM 5-16 goals and to study internationally approved methods of collecting qualitative statistical indicators for monitoring.
