From September 23-25, 2024, a regional training workshop on the quality of statistics for the Sustainable Development Goals, organized by the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP) and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, at the initiative of the National Statistics Office of Mongolia.

This regional workshop was designed for leaders, experts, and professionals responsible for quality assurance and the production of statistics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Asia and the Pacific. Representatives from the national statistics offices of Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Maldives, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, and Turkey participated in the event.

Aziz Eshboyev, the chief specialist from the Department of Statistical Observations in Non-Profit Organizations, Culture, and Tourism within the Department of Social Sphere and Sustainable Development Statistics of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, also took part in the event.
