On October 7, 2024, a presentation was held at the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Regional training seminar for Asia and the Pacific region on the quality of statistics of Sustainable Development Goals”, which was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 23-25 of this year.


During the presentation, Aziz Eshboyev, Chief specialist of the Department of Statistical Observations of the Activities of Non-profit organizations, the sphere of culture and Tourism of the Department of Statistics of the Social Sphere and Sustainable Development, shared his knowledge and skills at the seminar with the agency staff.


In particular, the recommendations of experts from the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) on the quality of statistics for Sustainable Development Goals were considered, as well as the experience of the national statistical services of Mongolia, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Maldives, Pakistan, Tajikistan, East Timor and Turkey in the field of quality assurance.


Also, during the event, an exchange of views on the topic under discussion took place, and the participants received detailed answers to all their questions.
