According to the National Statistics Committee, in March 2026, prices for goods and services in the consumer sector increased by an average of 0.6%.
The annual consumer price index (CPI) was 107.1%, a decrease of 3.2 percentage points compared to the same month last year (March 2025 - 110.3%).
In March, food prices increased by an average of 1.2%, non-food goods by 0.3%, and paid services for the population by 0.2%.
Among the main food products, the main impact on inflation was the increase in prices for tomatoes (11.5%), bell peppers (10.0%), potatoes (9.8%), pumpkin (9.4%), apples (7.4%), bananas (6.0%), lemons (4.4%), chicken eggs (2.1%), beef (excluding boneless meat) (1.8%), fish (1.7%), sugar (1.7%), mutton (1.2%), sunflower oil (1.0%), ready-made meals in cafes, canteens, cafeterias and snack bars (0.8%), and first-grade wheat flour (0.6%).
Among the main food products, a significant contribution to reducing inflation was made by a decrease in prices for cucumbers (-20.7%), cabbage (-4.7%), and onions (-4.6%).
From the prices of non-food products, there was an increase in the prices of vasodilators (0.9%), women's shirts (0.8%), and cement (0.8%), as well as a decrease in the price of propane (-3.2%), AI-92 gasoline (-0.9%).
Also, the main factors in the price and tariffs for services were the increase in prices for household waste (0.9%) and painting services (0.9%), as well as a decrease in tariffs for domestic and international passenger air transport (-4.1%).

For calculations, about 1.2 million prices were recorded from more than 10 thousand points of trade and service. Prices for 419 types of food and non-food products and 98 types of services were observed.
