On February 1 of this year, in the Yukori Chirchik region of the capital, the State Committee on Statistics and the khokimiyat of the Yukori Chirchik region held a round table on the topic “Ongoing work on the population census in 2023”.
It was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Mahmudjon Ziyadullaev, the khokim of the Yukori Chirchik region Uskinbai Atemov, officials of the committee, the khokimiyat and the statistics department of the Tashkent region, activists of makhallas and representatives of the media.
The round table was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Ziyadullaev Mahmudjon Dzhurakulovich.
The event was also attended by the khokim of the Yukorichirchik region Uskinbay Atemov, the head of the department for organizing and conducting census processes of the State Statistics Committee Kobil Berdikulov and others.
As noted at the meeting, the population census is a large-scale event of a nationwide scale, which allows you to get a “photograph” of the country's population at a certain point in time and is a reliable source of information about the population.
The data of each citizen is of paramount importance in the conduct of a population census, since, first of all, detailed data are collected on such indicators as the specific population, age, sex, citizenship, ethnic composition, marital status, education, level of housing, employment, sources of income.
The population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan will take place from 1 to 25 November 2023. It was also noted that in order to conduct the census process and approbation of all regulatory documents from November 1 to 25, 2021, population censuses will be conducted in a test mode in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent.
At the end of the event, the specialists of the State Committee on Statistics provided detailed information on issues of interest to the participants.
