On December 1 this year, Deputy Head of the Current Accounts Department of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts of the State Committee on Statistics Ganiev Farkhod made a presentation on the results of participation in a seminar on the topic “Government Finance Statistics and Public Sector Debt Statistics”, organized on November 21-25, 2022 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia.
Farhod Ganiev introduced the participants to the knowledge gained at the workshop, the objectives and structure of government finance statistics and public sector debt statistics, recent developments and updates, the integration system, approaches to privatization, as well as concepts such as sequence of accounts, financial and non-financial assets, flows and reserves.
Also during the presentation, Farhod Ganiev provided information on the use of the Manual on Government Financial Statistics - 2014 and the Manual on Public Sector Debt Statistics and their relationship with the Manual on the System of National Accounts - 2008.
