According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–August 2025 a total of 7.5 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.

Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by almost 2.5 million people, or 49.1%.

The number of visitors by country is as follows:

  • Kazakhstan — 1,769,910 people;
  • Tajikistan — 1,699,984 people;
  • Russia — 663,296 people;
  • Afghanistan — 304,510 people;
  • Turkmenistan — 243,512 people;
  • China — 135,408 people;
  • Turkey — 113,109 people;
  • India — 42,256 people;
  • Republic of Korea — 30,039 people;
  • Other countries — 349,849 people.

The number of visitors by purpose of travel is as follows:

  • visiting relatives — 5,166,373 people;
  • travel — 1,148,469 people;
  • official — 837,535 people;
  • commercial — 287,747 people;
  • treatment — 62,054 people;
  • study — 14,216 people.
