On March 13, 2026, a consultation workshop dedicated to the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026–2030 was held in Tashkent.

The event was organized by the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the World Bank. Representatives of ministries and government agencies, research institutions, international organizations, and development partners participated in the workshop.

During the seminar, participants were presented with the results of the assessment of the current state of the national statistical system, as well as the main directions for the future development of statistics within the framework of the new strategy.

Participants discussed key priorities for the modernization of the national statistical system, including the implementation of international statistical standards, the development of digital technologies, expanded use of administrative data, and improved openness and accessibility of statistical information.

Special attention was also given to improving the quality and timeliness of official statistics, introducing modern data collection and analysis methods, and strengthening the human resource capacity of the statistical system.

Representatives of the World Bank and international experts participated in the workshop, sharing their experience and providing recommendations for further improving the national statistical system.

During the open discussion, representatives of ministries, agencies, and international organizations provided valuable comments and recommendations on the draft strategy.

It was noted that the implementation of the strategy will contribute to building a modern, efficient, and transparent national statistical system, capable of providing reliable and timely statistical information to support government decision-making, business activities, and public use.
