On May 7, 2026, a training seminar titled "Open Data, Administrative Data, and Artificial Intelligence in Digital Government: Opportunities and Priorities" was organized at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of Natalia Carfi, Executive Director of the Open Data Charter.



The seminar was attended by representatives of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as responsible representatives of ministries and departments.
During the seminar, the importance of open data in the processes of increasing the efficiency of public administration, ensuring transparency and combating corruption was discussed.


Particular attention was also paid to issues of data standardization, ensuring their consistency and comparability, as well as the effective use of open data in the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
During the event, the prospects for using artificial intelligence and big data in statistical analysis were also discussed.
This visit will serve to expand international cooperation, develop data-based decision-making practices, and further improve the open data system in Uzbekistan.
