According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 21,042 foreign nationals arrived in Uzbekistan for study purposes in January–June 2026.
This was an increase of 11,500 people compared with the corresponding period of 2025, bringing the figure to 2.2 times the previous year’s level.
The number of foreign nationals who arrived in Uzbekistan for study purposes by country was as follows:
Turkmenistan — 9,207 people;
India — 3,723 people;
Tajikistan — 1,915 people;
China — 951 people;
Kyrgyz Republic — 834 people;
Pakistan — 689 people;
Egypt — 603 people;
Republic of Korea — 526 people;
Philippines — 367 people;
United States — 302 people;
other countries — 1,925 people.
