On March 1 of this year, the Department of Organization and Conduct of the Population Census of the Department of Statistics of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in the khokimiyat of the Muynak district organized a training seminar on the measures taken in the country to prepare for the population census in 2023.

On March 1 of this year, the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich met by videoconference with the head of the multidisciplinary statistical mission of the International Monetary Fund Artak Harutyunyan.

By the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year, the number of educational institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan was 10 181 units, of which 6 288 units (61.8%) are located in rural areas, 3 893 units (38.2%) - in urban areas. 

On March 1, 2021, a meeting was held in Goskomstat with the goal of increasing the role and potential of young cadres in the implementation of state youth policy.At the event, Chairman of the Committee Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich held another open dialogue with young employees of the Committee.

On March 1 of this year, an online technical support mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) started at the State Committee on Statistics. The mission is led by Mr. Richard Wild, Senior Economist in the IMF's Statistics Department.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On expanding and improving the statistical information base in the field of agriculture" dated February 26 2021 № 104, in 2024 in the Republic of Uzbekistan an event is being implemented to conduct a census in the field of agriculture.

In the khokimiyat of Chartak district of Namangan region, held an event to implement the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 710 of November 11, 2020 “On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”.

In February 2021, goods and services in the consumer market increased on average by 0.6%.

It is well known that, the government is taking consistent measures to strengthen social protection of the population and ensure the sustainability of the functioning of economic sectors during the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to the results of The state committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics observations at public catering enterprises (Plov Center) in the central regions of the country, the following average plov prices were recorded:

The team of the State Committee on Statistics and the Department of Statistics of the city of Tashkent conducts research in the makhallas of the Yangihayat district of the city of Tashkent with the aim of improving the improvement and landscaping of residential buildings, obtaining information on the state of the population,

According to the results of 2020, the largest contribution to the formation of the republic's GDP was made by the city of Tashkent with a share of 15.3 %. Tashkent and Navoi regions occupy the next places with indicators of 10.8 % and 8.4%, respectively. Syrdarya (2.1 %), Jizzakh (3.0 %) and Khorezm (3.6 %) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.7%) have the smallest share in the formation of the republic's GDP.

In January-December 2020, according to the State Committee on Statistics in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the share of disbursed investments from the republican budget amounted to 6.5% of the total investment in fixed assets.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in January 2021, 63.8 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables were exported in the amount of 40.8 million US dollars. This is 2.4 million US dollars more than in the same period last year.

Uzbekistan in January 2021 exported textile products in the amount of 193.2 million US dollars to almost 50 foreign countries. This is  38.5 million US dollars more than in the same period in 2019.

The population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan will take place from 1 to 25 November 2023. It was also noted that in order to conduct the census process and approbation of all regulatory documents from November 1 to 25, 2021, population censuses will be conducted in a test mode in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent.
