On January 15 of this year, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Mahmudjon Ziyadullayev, a meeting was held on the results of preparation, training sessions and experimental and test work on Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS).
At this stage of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys, maps of 726 makhallas, selected at random across the country, will be tracked in smaller pieces. That is, randomly selected areas are divided into segments and re-mark the location of buildings and structures shown on the map. Responsible cartographers and listers carry out work on making appropriate changes, adjustments, as well as on the formation of lists of households.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the correct organization of work on the compilation of segment maps and lists of mahalla households in preparation for the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys.
Also, the participants of the meeting were given the necessary recommendations on Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys by the leadership of the State Committee on Statistics and the coordinators of the UNICEF Office in Uzbekistan responsible for monitoring.
