On April 20 this year, a mediatour on the study of the processes of multi-indicator cluster surveys (MICS) was held in the "Ahillik" makhalla of the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region.
At the event, members of the working group, consisting of supervisors and interviewers from the statistics department of the Syrdarya region, introduced the media representatives to the process of multi-indicator cluster surveys (MICS).
The main purpose of the MICS survey is to compare data on the living conditions of the population, as well as the results of the survey of women aged 15 to 49 years, the exact data on children under 5 years from their mothers or guardians and all data collected according to the standard of living of the population, place of residence (city or village) and gender, at the international level across the countries.
The purpose of this event is to collect important information on the socio-economic well-being of women, children and households in 726 makhallas of the country. Data collection from Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) will continue until July 31, 2021.
